Particularly robust and abrasion resistant

The MONTAMIX is a robust product made of mohair and synthetic fiber, which offers high abrasion resistance and durability. Another advantage of the MONTAMIX is the nylon content in its composition. This not only helps to extend the service life, but also provides excellent climbing properties. No matter what temperature you are traveling in, the MONTAMIX offers excellent glide and allows you to move forward effortlessly. If you are an outdoor enthusiast and looking for quality and functionality, the MONTAMIX is the perfect choice for you.

MONTANA climbing skin service

To make your ski tour an unforgettable experience, perfectly adhering climbing skins are indispensable. Dirt as well as wax residues lead to the fact that the adhesive strength is reduced. We therefore recommend renewing the adhesive layer even before long tours lasting several days, in extreme cold and generally before the limit of adhesion is reached. For a perfect new coating, contact your sports dealer. This involves removing the old adhesive and applying a new adhesive layer. The renewal of the adhesive layer is worthwhile if the pile side is still in good condition.

Fellanalyse

Fiber pile + base fabric

  • 65% mohair and 35% nylon
  • During the weaving process, the skin pile is laid in one direction, which enables climbing and gliding
  • The skin pile has a hydrophobic finish and remains permanently water-repellent

MONTANA Special

"MONTANA Special" prevents lateral fraying when cutting the climbing skins to size

Laminatfolie

The waterproof laminate film is a reliable protective barrier against water ingress. This keeps the climbing skins dry even in wet snow.</p

Return material

The backing fabric is made from a blend of polyester and cotton. It is firmly bonded to the base fabric via lamination. This type of bonding ensures that the climbing skin remains very flexible and supple even at low temperatures.</p

Adhesive layer

The specially developed MONTANA adhesive is applied to the backing. The resin adhesive, which has been tried and tested for decades, is a reliable companion for every type of ascent. The adhesive is particularly suitable for the new generation of rocker skis. Thanks to the high adhesive strength, the climbing skin remains securely attached to the ski even at low temperatures.
