This performance makes the BLUE PEARL 2.0 the fastest full-service system without compromising on quality. The service robot is the ideal system for rental shops and workshops with a very high service volume of over 15,000 pairs of skis.
Two separate conveyor tracks and a consistently structured grinding process enable high throughput. The BLUE PEARL 2.0 operates without downtime. The PowerVac suction system with seven plates ensures fast and safe operation; it adapts to the ski’s geometry thanks to automatic ski-length measurement.
The machine’s modular design reduces potential sources of error. Compared to conventional technologies, this allows us to keep service visits brief and correct any errors much more quickly. The BLUE PEARL 2.0 perfectly grinds and structures all ski models—including rocker and twin-tip skis—on two stones, even at the tip and tail. Ceramic belts guided by sliding shoes renew the side edges. 3D HTT tuning with PRO technology opens up new tuning options in addition to radial tuning. To finish, the service robot automatically waxes and polishes the skis. It combines uniquely high throughput with the highest service quality. Every MONTANA service robot also grinds cross-country skis.
PRO Technology for Double Stone Grinding
First, the ski undergoes stone grinding, which controls the grinding process even more precisely and in accordance with the ski’s geometry. To achieve this, the contact pressure on the base is individually regulated from both above and below for each grinding stone using a high-precision pressure curve. The use of two stones with different grit sizes produces excellent base texture results while ensuring gentle processing.
Side Edge Grinding
The ski’s geometry is also taken into account during side edge grinding via a controlled pressure curve: in this process, the grinding units adapt very well to the lateral geometry of the ski.
Radial Tuning for More Fun on the Slopes
Together with renowned specialists from the racing ski service sector, MONTANA has explored skinther optimization. The result is MONTANA Radial Tuning, which has made the skis significantly more responsive to turns and, in particular, has skinther improved edge grip under the binding. Skinther testing also revealed that, on skis with Radial Tuning, the skier can break out of an initiated carving turn at full speed without the risk of falling.
